Just before 7 p.m. this evening, a one-car accident occurred at the intersection of Trent Hatchery Road and Cedar Tree Road in Appomattox County.

The car went off the road and hit a tree surrounded by bushes on a residential property.

The Times Virginian is awaiting more information from the Virginia State Police in regard to the accident.

Also at the scene were the Appomattox County Rescue Squad and Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department Engine 3 and Crash 9.
