After a lengthy process to approve a plan to migrate all Appomattox Town Council elections to November, the Virginia General Assembly put a wrench in that plan by speeding up the process to start next year.

This put town council in a bind, so they voted on new, modified plans to extend council members’ terms for six months in order to move town elections to November instead of May.

The council also discussed a number of water-related issues in its Oct. 26 workshop meeting.
