At the Appomattox Town Council meeting May 24, an update on the old Thomasville Furniture property was discussed.
Appomattox Town Manager R. Terry McGhee said that according to a business associate, the property’s owner, George Aznavorian, hired a property manager and that a crane has been performing roofing work by pulling steel and putting up new roofing panels.
“I did spend time with the prospect last week, and I’m looking forward to executing on that,” McGhee stated at the meeting.
According to Appomattox County Chamber of Commerce President John Redding in his March 2 and May 18 “Words from the Chamber” columns in the Times Virginian, Ron Martin is relocating his Stallworks and Virginia MetalFab companies to the building.
