AMS students to perform on All-District Chorus

Appomattox Middle School Chorus students took the opportunity to audition for All-District Chorus in the fall semester, and seven were selected to perform in the 2022 Middle School All-District Choir.

Selected to the All-District Treble choir:

• 6th grade Soprano, Sarah Witt

• 6th grade Soprano, Karley Jenkins

• 6th grade Soprano, Avery Hubbard

• 6th grade Alto, A.J. Hensley

• 8th grade Alto, Keidy Hernandez-Varela

Selected to the All-District Mixed Choir:

• 6th grade Alto, Emma Letterman

• 8th Grade Soprano, Yasemin Rende

“While we were disappointed that two selectees were unable to attend the event, our ‘fab five’ worked hard rehearsing and gave a fabulous performance at Auburn High School on March 5th,” said Choral Director Brenda Jarrett. “I was thrilled to finally see their smiling faces on stage as this was the first unmasked performance event we have had in over two years. These five are already preparing their ACDA All-State auditions for submission this week, and I am excited to see how the event has motivated them to pursue this next-level experience.”
