Concord Volunteer Fire Department assists flipped vehicle occupants on Rt. 460

On Friday at 7:58 a.m., Concord Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) Co. 13, Squad 4 and Squad 8 were dispatched for an overturned vehicle in the westbound lanes of Richmond Highway with occupants still inside.

Unit 13-02 arrived on scene shortly after dispatch and found one car on its roof blocking lane two of U.S. 460 West. All occupants were assisted out of the vehicle.

Rescue 13 (w/3) responded and shut down lane two just prior to the crash. Command 13 (w/1) and Engine 13-1 (w/1) set up additional blocking behind the scene. Medic 8-6 and EMS 8 arrived and evaluated the occupants of the vehicle.

There were no injuries as a result of the crash. U.S. 460 West was shut down to one lane until the vehicle could be removed.
