As the Page Turns by Jamerson Library

Holiday Spirit, Good Tidings and Community Outreach

Fall is quickly turning into winter, and your local library is the hottest spot in town!

We have lots of items to choose from including cookbooks for holiday baking, craft books to learn a new hobby or make gifts, movies for a night of warm snuggles under a blanket, e-books and audio books for entertainment, magazines for winter decorating, and so much more. Just stop by and see us on Main Street. If you don’t have a library card, bring in your photo identification and proof of current address. It only takes a few minutes for you to get a card and gain access to library materials and lots of free online services.

The library is also hosting the Central Virginia Alliance For Community Living Inc.’s (CVACL) Senior Citizen’s “Elves for Elders” Tree. Select an ornament from the tree and return your gifts to the library by Friday, Dec. 10, either wrapped or unwrapped.

There’s more to this in the current issue of the Times Virginian newspaper. Support local journalism by purchasing the issue at a local newsstand or subscribing at www.timesvirginian.com/subscriber_services to receive the print edition or view the full article in the e-edition version.
