Your local library is the perfect place to learn a new craft or hobby, just in time for the holiday gift-giving season. We have lots of books, instructional videos, and craft kits for checkout. Did you know that we also sometimes teach classes or host craft events? You can join us for our “Let’s Learn How to Make Bath Bombs” class on Tuesday, Oct. 18, starting at 6 p.m.

Join Kasandra Meadows at the J. Robert Jamerson Memorial Library. The library will provide all supplies needed to make your own bath bombs. You must be preregistered to attend, as space is limited. You can call or stop by the library to register. If you have registered and can’t make the class, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible, as we may have other patrons waiting to register.

For those patrons who have been using Libby through the Library of Virginia, please be aware that access to Library of Virginia owned items has ended. This does not affect e-borrowing from the Jamerson/Virginia Piedmont collection.

There’s more to this in the current issue of the Times Virginian newspaper. Support local journalism by purchasing the issue at a local newsstand or subscribing at www.timesvirginian.com/subscriber_services to receive the print edition or view the full article in the e-edition version.
