The Appomattox Raiders indoor track and field team competed in the Fork Union Invitational on Wednesday, Feb. 2. Two members of the team set high marks in the statewide rankings.
The Raider girls team finished third overall with 71 points, behind event winner Caroline (96) and runner-up Veritas (76).
The Raider boys were fourth overall with 46 points, behind event winner Fork Union (139), Trinity Christian (68) and Caroline (52.50).
Vori Copeland finished in first place in the boys triple jump with a state-leading mark of 41 feet, 1 inch.
