ACHS Marching Band wins third Grand Champion Award

On Saturday, Oct. 30, the Appomattox County High School Marching Band won the Grand Champion Award at the 41st annual Brick Capital Classic in Sanford, N.C. 

The Appomattox Marching Band had the highest score in Music and Drum Major and was named First Place Band in Class AA. 

The band was also awarded second place in General Effect and Percussion. 

The Grand Champion Trophy, which is awarded to the highest scoring band regardless of class size in each division, was only the third Grand Champion in Appomattox school history.
