Garrett commits to UVA-Wise

Appomattox Raiders senior baseball player Hunter Garrett announced that he will continue to play baseball after high school graduation at the University of Virginia-Wise, located in Wise.

Garrett’s announcement on Facebook states: “I am very blessed to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at UVA Wise. I want to thank God, my family, my coaches, and my friends that have gotten me to this point. #GoCavsGo”

Appomattox County High School will be holding a senior Signing Day event on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 5 p.m.
