This afternoon at Appomattox County High School, three senior Appomattox Raiders student-athletes signed a letter-of-intent to officially continue their journey in the world of sports at the intercollegiate level.

Michaela Williams, a member of the defending Class 2 state champion Raiders softball team, will play at Randolph College.

The other two signees - football player Tre Lawing and cheerleader Lauren Weakley - signed with Liberty University. Lawing will enter 2022 football training camp as a preferred walk-on with the opportunity to earn a scholarship. Weakley will cheer for Liberty football, basketball and competition cheer.
