Appomattox Raiders third baseman Carrington Moore was named to the 2023 Class 2 All-State Softball Second Team.

Moore, a senior in the Class of 2023, was a three-year starter at Appomattox County High School and handled the "hot corner" at third base during the team's 2021 and 2022 state championship reign. The Raiders made it to the state quarterfinal round in 2023.

Moore had a batting average of .444 this season, raising her career average to .324.
