A shooting occurred at the Appomattox Walmart parking lot Tuesday night, but no one was hit, according to the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office.

Appomattox County Sheriff Donald Simpson said that the call came in at 8:16 p.m.

An area of the parking lot allegedly was cordoned off after the incident, leading to public speculation. When contacted concerning the incident, Simpson clarified that no one was hit in the shooting, so there were no injuries.
