All Pittsylvania County Schools have implemented a clear bag policy for all gated athletic events, which began on Sept. 19.

The clear bag policy only applies to spectators and will be enforced at all games where tickets are sold.

Athletes, coaches, cheerleaders (anyone who rides the bus in to an event) will not be held to the clear bag standard.

The Pittsylvania County schools include Chatham, Dan River, Gretna and Tunstall.

The Appomattox Raiders varsity football team travels to Gretna for a game Friday night.

Due to Appomattox County High School being in the same district and region as three of the four Pittsylvania County schools, the ACHS Athletic Department has clear bags with the school’s “A” logo for sale.

One is a tote bag and the other is a drawstring bag. The price is $5 for each. They can be purchased at any home game or in the main office at ACHS during regular school hours.
