Town Manager
The Town of Appomattox is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Town Manager. Performs complex administrative and professional work, managing the day-to-day operations of the Town. Responsibilities include enacting all policies and
directives of the Town Council; submitting, monitoring, and executing the Town Budget; receiving reports from and giving direction to, all heads of offices, departments and boards or committees of the locality under his/her control and supervision; keeping Council fully advised on the locality's financial condition and its future financial needs; attending all meetings of the Council and such meetings of committees and boards as the Council may direct; overseeing all personnel functions of the Town; and performing other duties as assigned by the Town Council.
Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
preferred with documented knowledge and/or experience which enable the Candidate to perform the stated job duties, valid Driver's License. The Town is willing to train the right Candidate, if necessary. Starting salary for this position DOQ and includes all benefits as offered to Town employees. The salary range is $80,000 - $110,000, commensurate with the regional market for such position and applicant experience.
