The Appomattox Raiders girls 4x200-meter relay team put forth a great showing Saturday in their first race as a unit at the Liberty Christmas High School Invitational held at the Liberty University Indoor Track Complex.
Amyah Bolar and Nadiyah Abdussalaam had run together in the past but they were joined this year by Sarai Glover and Kelsey Hackett. Bolar ran the first leg, followed by Hackett, Glover and Abdussalaam.
The girls handily won their heat with a time of 1:54.52, good enough for 12th overall and to qualify for the 2021/22 indoor track and field state championships with a state-leading mark.
