On Tuesday, Jan. 11, the Pamplin City Town Council approved proposals from last month’s meeting and discussed upcoming building projects.

The council approved a bid submitted by Chris Tolley at Piney Ridge Development for $7,500 for the sale of a Main Street property during the open public meeting. Conversations between Tolley, the town manager, and Mayor Sarah Hamlett Blackwell have included ideas of installing apartments upstairs and a retail store downstairs. The building will have a renovated floor system, bathrooms, an outdoor recreation area and outdoor dining.

Blackwell mentioned that the town is finalizing the designed development renovations.

“We are hoping to have the grants and funds by April 2022,” Blackwell said.
