Gleaning for the World aids Ukraine war victims

Gleaning for the World, a faith-based charity in Concord, has been assisting victims of the current war in Ukraine during the month of March.

According to social media posts from the Gleaning for the World, the organization received donated supplies on several occasions at Sam’s Club on Wards Road in Lynchburg.

On March 16, Pastor Ivanets and his brother Sascha, both native Ukrainians, arrived from Greensboro, N.C., to assist Gleaning for the World in its mission to get much-needed items to Ukrainians affected by the crisis.

YMCA of Central Virginia hosted a collection of supplies to help the Ukrainian refugees.
