Appomattox County Sheriff Donald Simpson confirmed that this afternoon, deputies were investigating a report of a suspicious person at Appomattox County High School.
The suspect left the high school in a vehicle and was under pursuit by law enforcement until crashing on Five Forks Road in Prince Edward County.
No further information was made available because the incident is still under investigation.
The Times Virginian was denied access to the site of the crash by Virginia State Police personnel on scene.
