Relay for Life and St. Anne’s Episcopal Church found a creative way to raise money for cancer and help the people of Appomattox complete their last-minute Mother’s Day shopping.
On May 13, Evelyn Ford, who is a St. Anne’s Episcopal Church member, Team Captain for the Relay for Life Team, and a graduate from University of Lynchburg’s Masters in Special Education Program, worked with many members of the Appomattox community to host a yard sale that raised money for cancer at Appomattox’s St. Anne’s Episcopal Church.
“Church members help set up on the day of the sale, and they shop all for the cause of raising money for cancer,” Ford said.
