Due to Pamplin City Mayor Billy Horton’s battle with health issues, Mayor-elect Sarah Hamlett Blackwell took the helm in his place at Tuesday’s Pamplin town council meeting. A major point on the agenda was the budget for fiscal 2020-2021.

Net income for the profit and loss budget overview came out to $3,289.97. Total expenses came out to $138,049.41.

A detailed copy of the budget overview can be acquired from the Pamplin office.

The budget was unanimously approved by the town council.

Also at the meeting, the newly elected council members and mayor were sworn into office by Appomattox County Clerk of the Circuit Court Janet Hix.
