Monday's Appomattox County Board of Supervisors meeting boasted a full house as citizens filled every seat and many even stood, lining the walls and spilling into the hallway.

An approximate 200 citizens showed for the meeting. The evening hot topic? A resolution stating that Appomattox County be known as a Sanctuary County for second amendment rights.

Last week, Campbell County was one of the first localities to make itself known as a “Second Amendment Sanctuary.” The Appomattox County Board of Supervisors found itself following suit.
