Groundbreaking ceremony held for Appomattox Wastewater Improvement Project

Today at 9 a.m. a groundbreaking ceremony was held in Appomattox for the Wastewater Improvement Project at 202 Upland Lane. It was a milestone event toward the replacement of the existing wastewater treatment center at the Appomattox Wastewater Trickling Filter Plant located at the same address. 

Bill Gillespie, former Appomattox Town Manager, said the project should take around 18 months to complete.
