The Appomattox County Militia’s third food drive of the year was held on Saturday, December 5th in front of TShirtzNow on Confederate Boulevard in Appomattox. The militia sends a big “Thank You” to Mitch and Freddy for letting them use their parking lot.

Seven men and women stood out in the cold, windy weather to collect food and shoes for the militia’s partner CandleLight Ministries. The militia collected 70 pairs of shoes and boots, and enough food was donated to serve several family-size boxes of food to families in Appomattox County who need help.

Pastor Larry Randall (militia Chaplin) brought the ministry’s big red trailer to the site and helped load food and shoes all day.
