Officials at Central Virginia Community College (CVCC) have issued general guidelines for the upcoming fall semester of classes at the college. These guidelines focus on maintaining a safe and functional environment for students, faculty and staff.

For the fall semester 2020, CVCC will continue to offer most classes online and the majority of the related student support services remotely.

Most general education and transfer courses will be offered to students using the college’s learning management system, Canvas. Skills for career and technical education courses, FastForward programs, and lab experiences that require in-person instruction will meet on campus in small groups as needed to complete course requirements. Some courses may also be delivered synchronously through Zoom video conferencing.

The schedules and course delivery for Early College, STEM Academy, and high school dual enrollment students will be determined upon consultation with each of the regional K-12 divisions as they work to implement their own guidelines.
