Radford University
Diplomas
Radford University conferred 594 undergraduate and graduate degrees during the 2021 winter commencement exercises. On Dec. 11, 2021, 461 graduate and undergraduate degrees were awarded at the Dedmon Center on main campus in Radford, and 133 degrees were presented at Radford University Carilion events in Roanoke.
Among those local students receiving diplomas were:
• A’shanta Da’quanna Robinson, of Appomattox, Bachelor of Science in Design
• Kayla N Croner, of Appomattox, Bachelor of Science in Pyschology
• La’kendra I Walton, of Prospect, Bachelor of Business Administration in Management
• Tajauna Warrendetta Creasy, of Evington, Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies
Radford University Dean’s List
Radford University has released its Dean’s List for Fall 2021.
Appearing on the Dean’s List is the most prestigious academic recognition Radford University students can receive for their performance during a semester. Students will be placed on the Dean’s List if they meet four specific criteria. They must have 12 semester hours of coursework graded A to F; earn GPA’s of at least 3.4 for all courses not graded on a pass-fail basis; obtain no grade lower than “C” and no incomplete grades.
The following local students were included on the Fall 2021 Dean’s List:
• Kayla Croner, Psychology major from Appomattox
• Brandon Caban, Art major from Farmville
• Dominique Scott, Criminal Justice major from Farmville
• Christian Allen, Design major from Farmville
• Jacob Landis, Emergency Services major from Farmville
College of William & Mary Dean’s List
The following local residents were recently named to the Dean’s List at the College of William & Mary for the fall 2021 semester.
In order to achieve Dean’s List status, a full-time degree seeking undergraduate student must take at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.6 Quality Point Average during the semester. William & Mary is the second oldest institution of higher learning in the United States.

• Jamie Carkenord and Grace Rust, Farmville
Cedarville University Dean’s List
Cedarville University student Emmel Summy of Concord, majoring in Nursing, was named to the Dean’s Honor List for Fall 2021.
This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.
College of Charleston President’s List
Catherine Rutherford, of Farmville, was named to the College of Charleston Fall 2021 President’s List. Rutherford is majoring in English.
To qualify for President’s List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.800 or higher and complete a minimum of 14 semester hours.
