Horses, ponies, mules and more were at the Virginia Horse Center the weekend of Sept. 10 for the State 4-H Horse Show. Adam Foisy, of the Appomattox 4-H Horse and Pony Club, had an excellent showing for his final year.
There were approximately 400 youth from across Virginia who participated in the state show which includes numerous divisions such as: Showmanship, Horsemanship, Equitation, Dressage, Hunter, Saddleseat and Gaited, Reining, Miniature, Pleasure, Driving, Side Saddle, and Gymkhana (speed events).
Adam placed first in:
• Saddleseat Trotting/non-Trotting Showmanship
• Walking Horse and Pony Equitation
• Walking Horse & Pony Pleasure
• 2nd Go Walking Horse & Pony Pleasure
• Non-Trotting Equitation Classic
• Walking Horse and Pony Pleasure Classic
• Champion Showmanship: Virginia 4-H Walking Horse Champion (2 years in a row)
