2021 is here! It is time to start a new year and a new you!
The library has plenty of venues to help you on your way: self-help, exercise, resume and business building, crafts, home decor, healthy eating, gardening, homesteading, and more in book, video, audio and magazine format. It is never too late to find a new way to learn and improve upon your mental and physical well-being. We are living through historical and trying times; it is important that you maintain a positive outlook by feeding your mind and body.
The Appomattox County Library Association (ACLA) has a new candy counting contest for Valentine’s Day, “Owl Always Love You.” If you are up through 12 years of age, guess how many pieces of candy are in the container with Owen the Owl. The person who comes the closest without going over will win Owen and all his candy! In case of a tie we will draw for the winner, to be announced on Wednesday, Feb. 10.
We do require all patrons five years of age and up entering the building to properly wear a mask or face covering during your entire visit inside the Library. If you cannot, or are unwilling to comply, we are willing to provide curbside or telephone services as needed.
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18. We will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 9:30 a.m.
If you have questions about this article or other library related matters please feel free to call us, during normal business hours at 434-352-5340.
