Appomattox tennis sweeps Prince Edward County, defeats Buckingham

On Monday, March 27, the Appomattox Raiders tennis team defeated Prince Edward County by a score of 9 to 0 in a match played at Appomattox County High School.

Final results are as follows:

Singles

— Kaydence Gilbert (App) defeated Hamza (PE) 8 to 1

— Shannon Coleman (App) defeated Lee (PE) 8 to 1

— Berkley Jamerson (App) defeated Hamilton (PE) 8 to 0

— Kristen Kidd (App) defeated Ford (PE) 8 to 4

— Olivia Inglett (App) won by forfeit

— Madelyn Austin (App) won by forfeit

Doubles

— Gilbert/Coleman (App) won by forfeit

— Jamerson/Kidd (App) won by forfeit

— Teagan Cole/Lola Harrison (App) won by forfeit

The Raiders also defeated Buckingham 6-2 on Monday of this week. Results will be in next week's Times Virginian.
