Friendship Baptist, after a heart-breaking experience several weeks ago, has been able to see the hand of God in her ministry.
Two Sundays ago, we had 10 out-of-town, first-time visitors, along with two local visitors. This past Lord’s Day, we had five first-time visitors for the evening service. All of these folks came as a result of reading about our services in the local paper. We feel a great debt of gratitude to the Times Virginian for the encouraging words in their fine paper.
Pastor E.W. Lucas would like to extend a cordial invitation to our friends and neighbors to come by for a visit. The church follows the old Baptist Confessions of Faith. The church is located about 3/4 mile beyond the High School on Route 727 toward Red House.
The Church has been receiving letters from all around the country. Though the church did not ask for money, over $1,000 has been sent from all over America and is still coming in. A warm welcome awaits one and all. The public is welcome to attend.
