SUV wrecks on Pumping Station Road

This evening at approximately 6:40 p.m., an SUV veered off the road and wrecked at the 300-block of Pumping Station Road in Appomattox. 

According to a member of the Appomattox County Fire Department, the driver  was being examined by the Appomattox County Rescue Squad at the scene for what appeared to be a minor injury or injuries. The ambulance later left the scene with the patient still inside. 

The SUV sustained significant damage. There were no other vehicles involved. 

No other information is available at this time.

Assisting at the scene along with the Appomattox County Rescue Squad was AFVD Engine 3 and Crash 9, the Appomattox County Sheriff's Office and Virginia State Police.
