Appomattox Raiders tennis undefeated at 9-0 to wrap up regular season, advance to regionals

The 2021 regular season for the Appomattox Raiders tennis team has come and gone in a flash as they played nine matches in just over three weeks, finishing the season with an undefeated 9-0 record in Dogwood District play. 

Thursday evening at Appomattox County High School, the Raiders topped Nelson County 5-4. Singles winners for Appomattox were Mariska Servis, Berkley Jamerson and Cameron Womack. Doubles winners were the teams of Mariska Servis/Kaydence Gilbert and Clara Campbell/Cameron Womack. 

The Raiders' team will advance to the Regional Tournament at Virginia Tech on Wednesday, May 19. Participating in the May 21 Singles and Doubles Tournament, also at Virginia Tech, will be Servis (singles and doubles) and Gilbert (doubles).
