Kimberly Lowe, who is running for the Virginia 5th congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, kicked off her campaign for the 2022 election this afternoon at the Appomattox Court House Historical National Park.

Rep. Bob Good currently represents the district after being elected in the 2020 election.

Some of the major points that Lowe, who described herself as a grassroots candidate, empasized today are bringing business into Appomattox County, rid elections of big money corruption, domestic violence policy, federal issues involving family courts and Child Protective Services, farming, and more.

Several guest speakers also spoke publicly endorsing Lowe in her campaign. Lowe is currently a resident of Brunswick County.

More than 50 people attended today's event, and musical entertainment was provided by the Willows Brach Bluegrass Band.
