During the Christmas season, a drive through the quiet yet festive locality of Appomattox County may pose a Christmas mystery to the observant eye. The mystery itself is one of green and furry proportions. Everywhere, it seems, a Grinch leers around a street or window.
The solving of said mystery has not been helped by the onslaught of Grinches on the loose at the Experience the Holidays weekend event held on Dec. 7.
Here, there, everywhere — holiday Grinch did appear.
Several Grinches were in the parade. Some were walking. Others were sitting in parade units. Another was providing amusement as he drove a lawnmower in a seemingly chaotic manner. Throughout the day, furry green figures were seen mingling with the crowd.
The onslaught of Grinches causes one to wonder which Grinch is the real Grinch.
In an effort to help (or humor) readers, the Times Virginian conducted an investigation and looked into the matter, a challenge in and of itself.
