The Appomattox County Board of Supervisors began their meeting Monday with the reading and presentation of a resolution honoring the late Dr. Paul Harvey, former mayor and town council member of Appomattox who died in October 2020.
Del. Matt Fariss, on behalf of the House of Delegates, also presented a resolution noting the loss of Harvey and respect for his memory.
“The state of Virginia was blessed by Paul. We appreciate his family for sharing him with the state,” said Fariss.
A crowd of family and friends gathered to witness the reading of the county resolution and the framed copies that were presented to Harvey’s wife, Greer, and two daughters, Kelly and Katie.
