Sara Henderson seeks re-election

Sara R. Henderson has announced she is seeking re-election for Appomattox County commissioner of the revenue in the general election Nov. 5.

Henderson has been commissioner of the revenue since Jan. 1, 2008, and has 34 years of experience in the office.

“Our office continues to give the best quality of customer service,” Henderson said. “We are always looking for ways to better serve the taxpayers in the most efficient way possible. I would like to thank my staff for all the hard work that they put in each day: Rebecca Stratton, Yvette Pennix, Christina Garrett and Amy Covington. I appreciate the voter’s confidence in me as your commissioner of the revenue and will continue to strive to provide whatever assistance that we are able. If you have questions or concerns, please let me know. I have an open-door policy and always look forward to helping the citizens of this county.”
