Appomattox County Supervisor John Hinkle announces bid for re-election

Falling River District Supervisor John Hinkle announced last week his bid for re-election to the Appomattox Board of Supervisors for a second term that would begin Jan. 1, 2024.

The republican, who can often be seen wearing a cowboy hat, Hinkle first ran for the position in 2019. Since being elected four years ago, Hinkle has been focused on reducing county debt and creating a more welcoming and nurturing environment for businesses to grow or locate in the county. He also defends Second Amendment and private property rights.

Hinkle is seeking re-election so he can further his support for business expansions such as Virginia Metal Fab, and to be involved in the growth and full build-out of the Classical and C.T.E. Institute in the historic Carver-Price Legacy Museum building.
