The 2021-22 fiscal year budget of the Appomattox County Public School District was approved at the March 25 meeting of the school board and forwarded Friday to Appomattox County Administrator Susan Adams for county review.

The school board and Appomattox County Board of Supervisors previously held a joint budget work session in February. Appomattox County Public Schools (ACPS) Superintendent Dr. Annette Bennett said the county typically approves their budget in April or May.

Bruce McMillan, ACPS director of finance and human resources, outlined the proposed budget to the school board at the March 25 meeting, stating two primary goals: increasing employee compensation and working on facilities.
