Mrs. Linda Mays from the Appomattox American Legion Auxiliary Unit 104 visited Cornerstone Christian Academy on April 22.
Students in grades fourthrough seven recently submitted essays with the theme “What can I do to help America’s veterans and their families?” The winners won a medal and a cash prize from the American Legion Auxiliary.
The winners were:
7th Grade
1st Place: Clayton Bryant (not pictured)
2nd Place: Andrew Power and Kenan Calhoun (tie).
6th Grade
1st Place: Georgia Thompson
2nd Place: Dallas Walker.
5th Grade
First Place: Chase Beckhouse
2nd Place: Hayden Carwile.
4th Grade
1st Place - Adreinne Eagle
2nd Place Amelia Leeming.
