Around 1:30 p.m. the Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene of a crash involving an automobile and a moped at the intersection of Church Street and Lee-Grant Avenue in Appomattox.

Appomattox Fire Chief Jonathan Garrett said there were no reported injuries. The driver of the moped, a male, was up and walking around at the scene.

No additional information was available at the time of this report. The Times Virginian will update information if made available by Virginia State Police.

Arriving at the scene were Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department Engine 3, the Appomattox County Sheriff's Office and Virginia State Police.
