Concord resident Trevor Hipps has announced his candidacy to represent the Wreck Island District on the Appomattox County Board of Supervisors.

Hipps has been a crucial opponent of the recently-approved County Waste trash transfer station that is proposed to be constructed in the Stage Road area of Concord. He founded the Facebook page “Dump the Dump,” which serves as an information and communication source on the issue.
