There were no reported injuries from an incident this afternoon that involved a car crashing into The Farmers Bank of Appomattox building located at the Triangle Plaza Shopping Center.
Around 1 p.m. today, the Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD) and Virginia State Police responded to the bank for a small passenger car that had crashed into the side of the building.
Timothy Garrett of AVFD said the driver accidentally pressed the gas pedal when attempting to park the car and crashed into HVAC units on the side of the building.
