On Tuesday, the Appomattox Town Council unveiled a new brand image for the town. It is the result of nearly a year of research and dialogue that included input from citizens, local businesses and elected officials.
The initiative was spearheaded by a working group consisting of members of the Downtown Revitalization Committee and was funded by a Community Development Block Grant. The group hired the branding and advertising firm Mikula-Harris in Vinton to conduct the research and provide strategic and creative work.
“Our research and conversations in the community showed that residents are extremely proud of Appomattox, both because of its role in history and because of the idyllic, charming town that it is today,” said David Mikula, president and brand strategist at Mikula-Harris.
