Tick season is here. Just like the warm weather brings out snakes, it brings out ticks as well. It seems the warmer the weather the more you hear people talking about ticks.
Everybody that hunts knows they have to check themselves for ticks every time they exit the woods, especially turkey hunters. Everybody that fishes needs to check themselves once they leave the fishing area. One thing that may run through our mind when we have a tick attached to us is. “Could I get Lyme disease?”

What is Lyme disease? Lyme disease is a tick-borne illness caused by infection with the bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi.
