Fall is coming! Get out your sweaters and blankets, time to curl up with a good book from you local library! We are here, we are open and we are ready! This weather is perfect for a visit, we are located on Main Street, come in and get the latest magazines, best sellers, hot non-fiction or movies.

Last week we mentioned that the library accepts donations of craft supplies. Since last week’s article, the library has been given a positive outpouring of gifts. Deborah Long donated a brand new sewing machine so that volunteers can sew face masks as a fundraiser for the library.

Deborah will be cutting out the patterns and proving all the materials necessary with ACLA (Appomattox County Library Association) members assembling them. ACLA hopes to have several dozen available for their mini book sale, starting Sept. 8 during normal business hours in the Library.
