The Relay for Life of Appomattox County submitted the following letter of thanks to the community for their support during 2020:

The Relay for Life of Appomattox County thanks the community for their generous support of the American Cancer Society’s mission during 2020. COVID-19 certainly impacted the way we Relay, but cancer hasn’t stopped and neither has Relay For Life of Appomattox County.

Through team fundraisers, memorials, corporate sponsors, and the Paint the Town Purple bow campaign, we raised $40,052 for the fight against cancer. Because of your generosity, the American Cancer Society continues to attack cancer from every angle- by investing in groundbreaking research, providing free patient programs, the 24/7 helpline and much more.

The American Cancer Society’s ability to offer patient programs free is due to the fundraising done within communities.
