The Appomattox Raiders won Tuesday’s 2022 Dogwood District Championship at the local Falling River Country Club. The Raiders won with an overall team score of 337, a rather comfortable 18 stroke margin of victory over their nearest competitor, Dan River, which finished second at 355.
Troy Shrock of Appomattox was named the Dogwood District Player of the Year.
Long-time Raiders head coach Doug Marshall was named the Dogwood District Coach of the Year.
Shrock finished atop the individual scoreboard, shooting a 76 (four above par 72) in the 18-hole match that began at 1 p.m.
