Raiders shortstop Hackett named to All-American softball team

The post-season accolades are rolling in for the 2021 VHSL Class 2 State Champion Appomattox Raiders softball team. Starting shortstop and leadoff hitter Kelsey Hackett was recently named as a member of the Extra Inning Softball First Team High School All-American-Infielders.

“I was just really excited and really surprised,” Hackett said about the honor. “It’s pretty amazing. I’ve just tried to work as hard as I can on-and-off-season to get to where I was at for the softball season. And yeah, it’s just pretty amazing that what I did did get recognized.”
