According to an email issued by Campbell County Public Schools (CCPS) to parents, many schools in the Dogwood District, along with the Seminole District, have decided not to permit spectators to attend Virginia High School League (VHSL) winter sporting events and activities this year.

However, Appomattox County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Annette Bennett said that a plan is still being worked out to possibly allow 25-person maximum attendance at Raider events. Parents of senior participants would be given first priority, as well as sideline cheerleaders.

“We’re obviously limited in the number of spectators we can have, and we’re gonna try our best to use those spots judiciously,” Bennett said.

As of Tuesday, Appomattox County High School Athletic (ACHS) Director Chris Dodge said there are no new updates on the situation.
