This afternoon at around 2 p.m., the Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department was called to a large brush fire behind the property of 2374 Poorhouse Creek Road in Appomattox County.

Crews are still at the scene of the fire at the time of this report. Any additional information will be updated when it is received.
